Malaysian investment giant, Genting, has a great plan for Miami and it's Resorts World Miami. They have acquired one of the most coveted masses of real esate along the shores of Biscayne Bay, with an ideal location minutes from South Beach and the Miami International Airport. Genting has enlisted some of the most prestigious architects in the world, who happen to be the Florida firm Arquitectronica, to erect a destination compound with 1 hotel with more than 500 rooms, two residential towers with up to 1,000 units. The plan originally included 4 hotels and huge amounts of retail and commercial space, however the plans were reduced in 2012, but may be resurrected.
Located where the Miami Herald Building now stands, however the architects Arquitectronica are the masterminds behind some of the most coveted residential real estate in South Florida and they have quite literally transformed the skyline. The location will be truly cosmopolitan with close proximity to the Omni Center, Adreienne Arsht Center, and a number of Miami’s Museums.
